Carly Atwood (b. 1990)

About

Carly Atwood began playing the bass in 2001, and graduated UMKC with a Masters in Jazz Studies in 2016. She plays a wide variety of groups and styles around the Kansas City area including jazz, rock, country, and funk. Along with her knowledge of a wide range of musical genres, she is well versed on both the upright and electric bass. After graduating, Atwood taught in the Grandview School district’s music program for several years, and is an avid supporter of the local music scene both on and off the bandstand.
